E-learning and multimedia are becoming increasingly important for training and evaluation purposes. By mixing intelligent control with computer graphics and sound, software can be produced that can perform a range of tasks from straighforward presentation through to interactive training.

Presentation-type approaches are suitable for manuals or marketing purposes, while interactive packages can provide a useful approach to teaching and evaluation.

Case Study: Industrial Education and Induction

This software and associated media presentations were developed to help with on-site induction and training/familiarisation. The package has also proved useful for PR and demonstration purposes at exhibition and trade shows. The primary interface is via a touch-screen display.

Case Study: Industrial Event Rating

This software was developed to help train safety officers in the implementation of an international event scale for a certain class of industrial incidents/accidents. Not only does it provide comprehensive guidance through the process for training purposes, it also allows consistent application of procedures for actual cases.
